 Mertine at the National Institutes of Health when she was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. At this stage she underwent chemotherapy and radiation before receiving a bone marrow transplant. Mertine's sister, Ayo, was her perfect match! Ayo, we thank our Heavenly Father for you!

 Designer Joan Crowner, who's accepted the crown of Jesus Christ! November 26, 1946 - May 15, 2007. A great and loyal friend who is missed every day! Joan is responsible for Mertine knowing the ultimate Public Relations Diva, Pat Tobin. Pat has joined Joan in that glorious place!!!!!! Oh, what peace!!!!!  Mertine Moore Brown, CEO, The Designer's Goldfinger; Audrey Smaltz, founder, Ground Crew, New York City. Audrey, former Ebony Fashion Fair commentator, produced the first ever Congressional Black Caucus Fashion Show! Her presentation was so awesome she was invited back to produce the second annual CBC fashion show. Mertine had the distinct honor of modeling in both.
